I held a general planning session this morning for one of the newest YHHAP projects of the semester – YHaven, a discussion table over Sunday brunch that will focus on investigating the wider New Haven community. We brainstormed some possible topics and the best ways to study them over the course of a semester – gems included “Where in New Haven is Carmen Sandiego – the history and geography of New Haven,” “Educate or intimidate: the role of gangs in the lives of New Haven youth,” and “Gated lawns and open courseware: town/gown relations between Yale and New Haven.” Intrigued?
